Permission to Teach (PTT)

The possibilities are endless...

Quality education offerings are an integral part of many rural communities and provide amazing opportunities for early career teachers to launch their careers. The PTT process through QCT provides Blackheath & Thornburgh College the power to immerse aspiring teachers in a supportive and inclusive school environment to give them authentic opportunities and invaluable practical experiences that can help prepare them for the future.

Where vacancies exist that are unable to be filled by registered teachers and a suitable pre-service teacher or skilled individual is available, the College will work closely with QCT to submit an application for a PTT. Once approved, PTTs can deliver classes to pre-approved subject or year groups for a period of up to 2 years.
